How is media language including the intertextuality used in ‘Burn the Witch’ to construct representations of groups, messages & values? The music video I will be analysing is Burn the Witch, by Radiohead. It was reported that this music video represented their views on the refugee crisis, and how they are treated and observed as, in societies such as those in the UK. Burn the Witch is a narrative music video which illustrates the scary events of an inspectors (who is a guest) experiences when visiting a town, which looks peaceful and full of life. This music video depicts mob rule in a rural community. (10 marks) The articles depict the parents of Madeleine McCann as heartbroken by the kidnap of their beloved daughter. This is suggested by the keyword "traumatised" which gives connotations of vulnerability and makes the reader feel sympathetic for their parents due to their current situation. Also, the keyword "clutching" in the sentence "clutching Madeleine's favourite Cuddle Cat Toy" highlights the sadness felt by the parents of the missing 3 year old.
