Task 7: Planning The Web Pages
I will be using this template as it has a clear layout and has a feeling of luxury due to the colours preseted. Also, it has a section next to the tabs, where I can make my own logo.
In addition, when scrolling down, it has a nice layout for adding pictures text and any other buttons which lead to links.
There is also an area with writing that says "recent news", which I will change and write 'next issues'. I will then replace the numbers, and write my issue numbers, with a little description of what the magazine issue is about directly underneath the numbers. The 'read more' button will also get replaced with a 'preorder now' button which would redirect the visitors f the website to a page where they can pre-order the next issues.
Progression
This is the progress that I have made, I have simply written out the name of my magazine and will, later on, paste my logo, which is on my magazine, onto the website. I have also had a tab on the top of the page, which contains small tabs within it, which are links to other pages of my magazine.
Later on, I will also add some pictures in the blank area underneath my magazine title. I would also include some description of what my magazine is about and its intended audience.
I then changed the background picture because the previous picture did not fit my magazine and had nothing to do with my target audience. Furthermore, I removed the portfolio, about and news tabs and replaced them with fashion, grooming and subscribe tabs.
I then chose to add just a dark grey background as it contrasted well with the logo/name of my magazine. Also due to the dark grey background, the gold and white on the front page stand out more.
I then made my own logo, where I edited the name of my magazine and put my own twist on it. I also added a banner with some of my models, which added more colour to my background as they were wearing different colour clothing.
In addition, I added some tabs on the top right-hand side, which contains some social media links, which includes Facebook and Twitter.
I then changed the banner to the two models that feature in my behind the scenes video. Also, I added a tab on the banner, which directed the online visitors to the behind the scenes video, and also the gallery.
I then added some new tabs and deleted some. I deleted the fashion and subscribe sections, and replaced them with a gallery and shop sections, which are more important, as it will make pre-ordering the next issues of Platinum much easier.
In addition, I moved the social media tabs, as they couldn't all be seen previously. I have also added an arrow, which directs to a login page for members when clicked on.
